United Way R4 Grants: Respond, Recover, Reimagine, and Rebuild
United Way R4 Grants provide flexible resources to 501 (c) (3) nonprofit organizations working in Marshall County to ensure that basic needs and essential services are being addressed to better support individuals and organizations in Marshall County.
United Way R4 grantmaking will address gaps in services and increase capacity of organizations to meet basic needs of Marshall County's most vulnerable individuals and families. Basic needs can encompass a wide range of programs, services, interventions and assistance to communities beyond food, shelter, rent/utility assistance, clothing and medical care. Consideration will be given to funding proposals or partners that can make the case that something that is funded feeds directly into a social determinants of health.
Applications may be for operational or program support, and may be for organizational or collaborative initiatives.

The United Way of Marshall County has updated its grant application process: United Way R4 Grants: Respond, Recover, Reimagine & Rebuild. This new United Way grant process will be used to ensure that basic needs and essential services are being addressed to better support individuals and organizations in Marshall County.
Basic needs may encompass a wide range of programs, services, interventions, and assistance to communities beyond food, shelter, rent/utility assistance, clothing, and medical care. Applications for United Way R4 Grants may be for operational or program support and be for organizational or collaborative initiatives.
“United Way R4 grants will address gaps in services and increase the capacity of organizations to meet the basic needs of Marshall County's most vulnerable individuals and families,” said Linda Yoder, Executive Director of the United Way of Marshall County. “ALICE households – Asset Limited, Income Constrained, Employed – are a focus for United Way and the updated R4 grant process will help provide assistance where needed most for these working families.”

Organizations that are focusing on building Healthy Communities, Youth Opportunity, Financial Security, and Community Resiliency in Marshall County may apply for a United Way R4 Grant at https://www.marshallcountyuw.org/R4Grant by clicking on “United Way R4 Grant Application.”
The grant application will remain open to continue to respond to changing or emerging needs.
